The Death of Mr.Me

"...And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death- even death on a cross!" Philippians 2:8 NIV 

In our 'clinical' world, the term of "self-denial" is too often mistaken to mean self-control, i.e. simply "reining in" our will, desires, and dreams by some higher element of our being. However, Jesus never meant for us to merely control self, but to die to self. 

The death of "Mr.Me" encompasses everything that would hinder God's will, His interests, and His power from being accomplsihed in us and through us. The path of revival that birthed the early Church was paved with the caskets of "self." So I ask you, are you ready to die?
